He came to me disguised as Hades. I feel a fool for not knowing until it was too late. But, we have our darling girl, so even to say "too late" implies some measure of regret. I do not regret my daughter or my son but I am sorry that Zeus twice made a fool of me.

I am trying not to, but it's difficult for an array of reasons, brother. Two that are the worst are that Mama was raped by her own father who feels that he deserves everything he desires and the simple fact that I am quite literally nothing to the one who was my father all this time. It pains me, and I know I cannot fault him for not remembering us, but I know he loves our mother.

And that may be the only thing I can hope for as I attempt to make sense of the rest of it...
