I woke up this morning with Joe in my bed, sleeping quite soundly. He was, at least, until I woke him up screaming like a banshee and throwing things at him.

He swears we're married; that we have been for twenty years. Swears we have a son together and he was off at university in Massachusetts.

This is ridiculous. I have to be hallucinating.

Oh, I remember, you mentioned him before. I'm sorry, that must be really uncomfortable for you.

Polyxena mentioned that too. I hope so, I probably shouldn't be drinking in front of my...daughter. There is always the roof.

It's definitely interesting and makes me wonder what on earth could have taken place between where we were and now that would have triggered such a change for me.

The roof is wonderfully cold right now, I should think. I'd hate to freeze up there. The basement, perhaps? It's a lot of storage, isn't it?

I'm sorry, I didn't even think of the weather, I've only been back since this morning. I didn't even know we had a basement. It might have to be explored, if you would join me?

They seem to be quieter with others around in general, mostly because I am speaking with someone else, I think.

I'd be glad to join you. We all need a place to hide sometimes, don't we? I can be ready in ten minutes.

That sounds like a good reason to keep people around, though maybe not marry them.

I will find what stock we might have hidden away in here. Shall we meet in the lobby like before?
