If it's pain and anguish, does it really matter what it is that's affected? I, too, have been rather nervous, waiting for whatever happens to be next. At least if we know, we might have a way to get by.
I'm sorry that you've not been given something for your hands or mind to do in the modern working world. Have you considered employment or a hobby of a sort?
As for me, I work at a mortuary and funeral home. I prepare the dead for their burial rights, which may change slightly depending on what faith and beliefs they hold. My employer is very nice, but he and my coworkers likely believe I am not of sound mind. But, I do good work.
