I have a new job as a secretary/file clerk where Phonos is employed. I start tomorrow, and I'm quite excited.

I think it will. At the funeral home, it was becoming strained, anyway because I knew Joe held feelings for me. After this last, erm, event with Khaos and Gaia, I just couldn't...

I will not be handling the dead in this case. That is Phonos' job.

Will that help...with what you see? Since you won't be around the physical remains anymore.

I don't believe so. They seem to find me no matter where their remains are, though it's much stronger in or near places like a morgue or a hospital. I find that if there is enough living activity, it actually calms sometimes.

It would be a pleasure. Someday, I should create my own stock of liquor. I can imagine the money that would be saved, but then again, getting out of the building on occasion is fantastic...

We'll have to find a good day soon, when neither of us have to be up in the morning. I think the chance to get outside and away from family is worth the extra money.

I actually work a 4 p.m. to Midnight shift. Probably best that I do not go into work drunk, though. But perhaps on a day I have off. I will let you know!

A bit, yes. But someone is needed to file the proper paperwork and print reports, right?

Definitely. I guess that is one thing about this time that can be annoying, everything leads to paperwork.

It's very true, but then, how would they keep records of their history if there was no paperwork of sorts?

We managed before fairly well but there was nearly as much information. When someone died they did not need to be um examined.

Laws are very different now, and sometimes it helps the families of those who have gone on to know what happened to the departed if, say, it was mysterious circumstances such as a sudden illness. Sometimes the examinations are not needed, but if it's a crime of a sort it can be evidence to present in courts.

There are a variety of reasons behind such things. I learned them well at my former job.
